October 2005

Dear Readers,

Welcome to this Fall’s edition of Journal Of Testimony!

This edition’s chosen theme is ‘Faithfulness and God’s Provision.’ As Christians in a modern world it is often difficult to keep perspective in accordance to the Bible and to trust in Him when we are being bombarded with messages of independence and self-reliance. However, it is important to realize the world is in God’s hands and that as our Father, He will be faithful and care for us if we relinquish our control to His loving will.

He is faithful even when we are unfaithful, when we struggle to stay true to Him. He provides according to our needs, whether it is a need for discipline, someone to talk to, hope for the future, or life itself.

We all know that college life can be complicated, and while you may start out trying to use your God-given talents and develop them as you should, you can end up relying on the standards of the world and your own abilities rather than on God’s goodness. While we fret over classes and jobs, juggle with managing our time and developing friendships, it is crucial to remember that our God presides over all things and will provide. This does not mean that we should avoid our duties, it is simply that as Christians we must do our part while keeping in mind that God is the overseer, that He is sovereign.

As God cares for the lilies of the field, even more love He will give you as His child. As the following pieces testify, whether we recognize His hand in our lives or not, He is always there, forever faithful. We hope you enjoy this edition of the Journal Of Testimony and wish you a wonderful year.

In Him,

Chrissy Choi & Ji Hea Kim
