The team is safe and healthy in Uganda . It was a great
gift from God to sleep over at Dubai . We got a good
rest before getting to Uganda . The team is excited
but some are still adjusting to the time change. We
got our first taste of African food last night and
we loved it. Our living quarters are adequate and
I am glad that the team has such a good attitude.
The brothers are staying outside in a make shift tent-house
but the weather here has been pretty nice so far so
we have no complaints. Please pray for us as we get
ready to do some intense ministry. We have a pastor's
conference coming up Monday and Tuesday with 70 pastors
coming. There are also other church services we need
to get ready for...today we spent most of the day
learning about the area and prayer walking around
the neighborhood. Thank you for praying for us!!!

Pastor Young

Wow, it's been awhile since our last update but after many miles of traveling we are in Tororo, Uganda. Last Thursday through Sunday, we crossed the border to Sio Port, Kenya where God allowed us to minister to his people for a few days.
For all the nights, Harvest Church (the church we were working with) held a revival. Our team presented every night and God used Pastor Young to speak to many of the members there. It was a great time as we prayed for people and heard many stories of people coming back to their Savior.
We also got a chance have two open air Crusades in the local market. After a short presentation, we shared the Gospel and about 15 people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior! Praise God! The team is learning through our outreaches - the importance of prayer and the joy of salvation. Our God really is one that rescues.
On Sunday, after crossing back into Uganda, we are in Tororo. A small town but many of the local pastors and church members are eager to see what we have to share. We have a few open air Crusades lined up and I will be giving a short talk on leadership so please pray for me as well.
We really do feel your prayers. Everyone on the team is in very good health (we are eating very well - probably a lot better then when were in the States). Please continue to pray for focused and renewed hearts as we are here until Thursday and head back to Kampala.
in Him,
Pastor Dave Kwon from JCA

Praise the Lord! Or as they say here, halle-LU-yah!
Pastor Dave is updating his blog too, but it's been a busy time of ministry the last few days. The team is doing well. A few nicks from a soccer game yesterday (lost 2-0), but otherwise all are well. Saturday night, we led a crusade in Ntinda with All Nations Discipleship Church. It was my first time preaching and I don't think I was too good. But thankfully God is. Nine people (I think) came up to receive Christ as Lord. The team performed beautifully and tears welled up as I watched them.
Sunday, we attended two different churches - GCC and I were at All Nations Discipleship Church, and JCA were at PERM church in Banda. The Kairos sisters split up. We had a wonderful two services (I was better) and great time of fellowship. Sunday afternoon, we again performed skits and body worship at the crusade and then left to go to a Christian fellowship at Kyambogo University (the second largest university in Uganda). About 80 college students joined us, and we showed our skits, body worship and Jessica (Kairos) gave a testimony.
Yesterday and today, we have been attending a womens conference (about 15 women) where I shared the pulpit with some women pastors. I was nervous about giving a seminar on enterpreneurship today, but it went very well (praise the Lord). John and Doug helped me, and the women were very appreciative.
Today, we went to a school for the deaf. It was a very challenging ministry, and I could only pray that our message got through.
Please pray for strength, humility, continued growth for the team and a continuing passion to share the love of Jesus to the people of Uganda.
God bless,
P.Barry

Hi,
The team is still doing well. Ministry is beginning to wind down. Since my last update, we've been visiting different schools and running our program. Many children and high school students have come to know Christ (even some Muslim children). Praise the Lord! We are burdened to continue to pray for these students. Please join us in praying that there would be effective followup by the local churches we've been working with. For more details on these days, please see the JCA blog.
Yesterday, we also did a street crusade - set up in the middle of a market place - and performed our dramas, body worship, and preached the gospel. Several children and a few (perhaps 4-5) adults came forward to receive Jesus when invited. We prayed for some people afterwards and one man might even have been healed of his hernia. Difficult to say without medical followup.
Today, we spent playing soccer with the children and did a two hour VBS with them. We didn't lose today, and could even have won (2-2 and 1-1). Pastor Dave thought he had scored his first goal, but it was disallowed unjustly by the ref!
We are excited for the remaining days we have here in Uganda. Please pray that we would keep our focus as our ministry winds down.
God bless,
Pastor Barry
