It is pretty amazing to see how God works. This summer we try to pray as a church through the prayer vigil and now I believe God is calling us to continue in prayer through the 626 Mandate. I am 100% behind what AMI is doing with this 626 Mandate. Personally, I am very excited and grateful that I serve with men who desire to depend on God through prayer. Here is a little history of how the 626 mandate came about.

Pastor Keith, one of the Trans-Local Team (TLT) leaders, received a vision about doing a 24/7-prayer chain amongst all the AMI churches. As he was reading Isaiah 62:6-7, he was convinced that God wanted us to start a non-stop prayer movement. Hence, the name of this movement will be called, The 626 Mandate.

Therefore, from September 1st until October 10th, we are going to do a 40-day, 24/7 prayer. After this, we will do some evaluations and try to do the same thing for the whole year of 2007. With everything that God is doing in AMI (i.e. new church plants in September, missions work in China and Vietnam and etc), we need to be ready individually as well as corporately through the power of prayer.

In order for this 626 Mandate to work properly, we need all of you to sign up for a time slot from the days of September 1st through October 10th. But before you sign up, please listen to these two messages I preached on prayer. We will be having sign up soon so please be ready to sign up on the web and also on Sunday service. I also want to encourage our alumni family to sign up through the web. Though you might be far from us physically I pray you will join us in much needed prayer.

Once again, this is what we need for you to do:

1. Listen to my sermon, if you did not listen to it yet.
2. Sign up for a time slot whether online or on the large time sheets before or after one of the church gatherings. It will be good if you can try to sign up for a time slot with another person for accountability sake. We do not want to break the prayer chain.
3. Check up on the AMI website for updates, prayer needs and answered prayers when the 626 Mandate starts: www.amichurches.com

I hope that you will do your part in building Gods Kingdom. I feel very convicted that everyone in our church needs to get involved even if you can only commit 30 minutes throughout the whole 57,600 minutes (960 hours/ 40 days) of this movement that is roughly around 0.05%. I think we can all make that kind of sacrifice no matter how busy our schedules are in this season.

Once again, this mandate will only become a reality if every single person around the world who is connected to AMI gets involved. Lets expect great things during the 40-days of prayer. I am confident that we will see more salvations, more deliverance, more miracles, and more breakthroughs in this period of time and ultimately all the glory and honor will go to our Savior.
