How
are things going for you? Things are “crazy
busy” for me right now. But if you want to
meet up with me please do. I will make the time.
Right now, I am doing my devotion at my daughter’s
soccer practice. My wife is on a business trip and
my boys are with their grandpa. I just had a staff
meeting that took most of the day. Tomorrow I will
“hopefully” make it to the Temple Morning
Prayer. I love serving God but at times I think
“this is crazy.”

In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the
morning I lay my requests
But
I am excited about this semester. I cannot wait
to see what God is going to do. I am waiting in
great expectation.
before you and wait in expectation.
This
is a real Morning Prayer passage. The Bible speaks
frequently about praying in the morning. It is good
to pray in the morning. I know that but boy is it
hard to get up for those morning prayers. “Lord
help me!”
What
do you do after you pray? Do you forget it? Do you
anxiously wait for it? What do you do after you
pray? Do you fall asleep?
The
Psalmist says we should wait in expectation. God
will answer and His answer will be the best for
you. It could be a “yes” from God. It
could be a “no.” It could be a “wait.”
It could be “you choose.” But He does
answer.
Do
you wait in expectation? Remember you are waiting
upon our Heavenly Father who knows how to give good
gifts. He is not cheap. He is not late. He is not
angry with you. He loves you. Of course if you are
in sin you need to repent and wait in expectation.
But He will answer so be excited for His answer
to come.
