Wednesday 09/21/05 - Psalm 18

27 You save the humble
but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.

28 You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light.

29 With your help I can advance against a troop;
with my God I can scale a wall.

30 As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the LORD is flawless.
He is a shield
for all who take refuge in him.

David once again turns our eyes to God’s greatness. He is being pursued and in great trouble but again His conclusion is God is flawless. His ways are perfect. Mediate on this Psalm it will give you great encouragement.

God is the one who can keep your lamp burning. God is the one who can turn your darkness into light. God can give you strength to face the advancing troop. God can give you the courage to scale the wall. His ways are perfect. He is flawless. He is your shield. Amen.
